How to use local bandwidth to download from the PSN

So I just phoned my ISP today (Telkom) and I asked them if they could give me my local bandwidth details and they said they could not. They said that I can only use my local bandwidth when my international bandwidth is all finished. Now there is a problem in that. In the article the writer said you need to use international bandwidth to get access to PSN and then start the downloads, pause 'em, and then switch to local and then continue downloading but if I won't have international bandwidth to get access to PSN then how can I download all that I want and need?

Has anyone done this yet?

Just queue the downloads you want from the psn when using international, and when your international runs out just resume the downloads using local.

Simple as that? So even if I shut down my PS3 and then switch it on again the next day I should have my downloads waitng for me, am I right?

Afrihost and Axxess have quite cheap pre-paid bandwidth. When I need some cheap local bandwidth sometimes (to play games hosted by MWEB) I buy one of those two.

The cool thing about Afrihost pre-paid is that it lasts for 12 months if you're not using it. And their service is good too.

This will avoid the inconvenience of being stuck without international browsing capabilities during the day.

You could just dial up an intl PPPoE connection from the PC... Most decent routers can run multiple connections simultaneously.
