id Software president resigns after 17 years

Companies like: EA, Treyarch, Volition, DICE will be missed, since they bring out games at least once a year - and most of those games are good "worth-your-money" games.

Even though many of us have issues and problems with some of these companies; if we're in need of a new game, they're there.

Oh, EA will not be missed, rest assured. Shittest company since Actiballz. DICE is also kinda part of EA now, so yeah, DICE is ok, but EA can do a swan dive into a volcano for all that I care. Volition had better make a legit SR after the fail which was the third, and Treyarch...sies. Sies on you! :P

Actually 4, is going to be the fail. It's looks the exact damn same as 3, with some minor tweeks and changes. It's nothing completely new - like what Saints Row: The Third was to Saints Row 2. An obvious, definite change to the look and feel.

I would be more willing to accept less than amazing games from iD IF they were actually producing good tech which was powering games that were good. But that's not the case, iD Tech 5 was really rubbish, Rage was the most visually inconsistent game I may have ever played. The difference between the parts of the game that looked good and the parts that looked terrible were HUGE.

They need a massive wake-up call, since neither their tech nor their games are cutting mustard at the moment.
