iGame Battlefield 3 Beta Discussion Thread

Well I spent the Entire First round spawning on a guy who somehow managed to sit still for the entire round, BETWEEN enemy soldiers and not get noticed
Strange part was that everytime I spawned I would have to stop drop and roll or else I'd get capped

Spawn camping is RIFE, especially once you are in the Subway terminal

yup, just liast night all the enemies ran past me and the MCOMS got taken so i ended up in the enemy spawn, so i "fought" my way through to get back to my teamies side, took about 5 okes out on the way..one of them was a knife kill.

As Faffa said yesterday after i took out 5 okes coming around a corner "Bra that flashlight of your F%^%^ me up man" the coolest thing is my backup pistol ALSO ha a flashlight, quite awesome! But be warned keep the torch on all the time and you'll be tk'd our be easily spotted from a distance!
 
The torches in die First Part of the Subway really do cause a major headache
You can't really pinpoint anyone, generalyl jsut wind up firing @ the Light but 90% of the time by then its too late
 
seems noobtube went to flashnooblight now hey :-/

and some weapons arent exactly balance in the beta, shottie pointblank and the guy dont die ... another annoying thing is being picked off with a smg from medium to far range, come on now and they can everything else into account but not such a simple detail :-/

hmmm maybe i should apply the ati hotfix and see what happens
 
Lol, now more sniping shotties!!! FINALY. I hated guys in BC2 doing it, did it once on a map and decided it is not realistic. Love "sniping" with the M1911 or the Rex when I get the chance.
But normally I just Rush.
Memo to self, try to play smarter in BF3...
 
They did kind of, but it's more realistic than someone vaulting over a wall and shooting at pinpoint accuracy whilst in mid air, ala CoD.
Nice to get used to something again :)

I kind of wonder if this wasn't derived from the movement system they wanted to implement in Brink
The Spacebar Vaulting basically allows pretty flid transitions over terrain obstacles
 
You mean something more in the line of Mirror's Edge? Which, by coincidence(?) was also developed by DICE? :)
 
I'm talking about the Parkour type of obstacle transitions, yes sure ME had some of the and then Brink made it the games main selling point, this is refined and blended into baisc movement though, so it is pretty cool

but there is speculation that Caspian border map will be released to the public (PC) and no longer password protected....

Rumours are there to be either True or False. One just have to have the right rumour and be on the correct side. LOL

well the map is playable a few of my clan mates have played it, however this is overseas.

my thinking is that all regions will have this game available to play without passwords etc
