Is Microsoft's Nextbox production underway?

What I would like to know, is why are both the Xbox and PS4 using AMD graphics?

No Idea why maybe they want them to be more or less technically similar so they dont have porting issue like they currently do between PS3, PC, Xbox. But Still, it would have been nice to see one of nVidia nice new shiny toys inside the either the PS3 or the Xbox.
