Settlement talks have hit a dead end in the civil case of a jogger who was arrested for allegedly giving President Jacob Zuma's motorcade the finger, the Cape Times reported on Tuesday.

Chumani Maxwele is reportedly suing the police department for R1.45 million after he was apparently bundled into one of the cars in the convoy while jogging along De Waal Drive in February 2010.

What kind of world are we living in where we can't even politely give feedback on our president without being assaulted and arrested without reason.

"In an unfortunate freak accident a certain known cyclist was run down by a black 4x4 driving without number plates". Police are investigating. No suspects have been captured yet. Investigators currently focused on deciding which local fastfood joint is best.
