Agreed! I like being able to say "Xbox" and my command instead of pressing buttons :D
 
I've had my xbox and Kinect for about 5 months now and I'm really impressed with the Kinect! I only have 2 games at the moment(adventures and kinect sports).

The problem with the Kinect is, game sessions cant be very long as it is VERY intense and tiring! Not to mention the pain the next day LOL..

Great way to entertain friends :)
 
There's a rumour going around that the XBOX360 Kinect bundle is getting a price cut in US of $100 (so from $399 to $299). This may have something to do with E3. I wonder if we'll get this deal here- Also, I would like Star Wars and hopefully Gears of War Kinect :)

Also there's some patenting going on with MS with the word "Fusion" in it, I wonder if this means a possible XBOX and Kinect in one?

Don't think its a rumour, the US retailers have been giving away discount cards to the value of $100 with the kinect so its expected to drop by that amount soon.

Also haven't picked one up yet, mainly because of the lack of games that interest me, but if there is a local price cut I would seriously consider picking one up. Will be interested to see some of the new games at E3 making use of it, especially the new ghost recon.
 
Same problem that Sony had with eye toy launch is that there arent enough kinect games available and add to that the price you pay to mainly play sports and adventures, will need to see more games out before I commit
 
I was considering getting me a kinect but then decided it was the novelty that got me interested in the first place and not really games that I'd like to play with the thing.
I agree on the price-cut issue, if it happens I might reconsider buying one.
 
at dimension data they have special for employees only (darn), for 4gb xbox and kinect for 3200-+

you guys think its worth it getting a kinect, or will it just become a white elephant?
 
I'd get the Kinect if I were you. Not just for games but you wont need a headset when playing games (you can talk and hear through Kinect), skype is coming to Xbox Live as well.
 
I tried it...but its way too limited for me to get hooked on, but who knows MS might surprise us with a game thats actually worth playing on kinect
 
Well, Kinect can only really get better from here on out, so if what it currently presents tickles your fancy, then go ahead and grab it.
 
Well i have the kinect and i think it is pretty decent hey, Ive got the adventure thing with it and Dance Central i bought. Oh my glory!!! if that game doesn't give you a work out i have no idea what will. Haha on Valentines day this year i was with my girlfriend at her valentines ball and i saw some kid breaking it down to this one song, and after having a look for about five minutes i realized that he was using the moves on Dance Central, and so i decided to have some fun, asked my girl to ask a friend to ask the DJ to put on Satisfaction(which i have completed on hard) and basically battled this kid down to the ground, haha, he obviously only completed it on easy as i wiped his ass, and he saw i found out what he was doing, and left (not mistaken if i saw a tear) ;)
 
I'm loving Kinect Fun Labs so far. The body/clothes scanner works pretty well. I'm interested to see what new gadgets they bring to the table.

Kinect Fun Labs? I've never heard of that. Time to go google... Oooo must get it. I see it's free? Awesome stuff! Will try and download it over the weekend.

I've had kinect for about 5 months and while I'm really impressed with the tech, its disappointing that we don't have more quality games to go with it. Apart from Child of Eden, Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports 2, there is nothing else to look forward to for me atleast. Wasted potential I think
