yes thats exactly what I mean

If you highlight some text, and press the link button on the toolbar (to the right of the smiley button), it'll ask you for the URL, then the text you selected will be the description, and the URL you put in will be the link.

If you just paste or type a URL in, it should become a link automatically

You can also use Ctrl + L after you have highlighted a word.
