Look for help regards SC2

Hey guys, I am new to the site, only joined today reading some useful things regarding ADSL etc. I dont really know any game other than sc2, been playing it since season 2 of its release. a Few things started bothering me on my road to this point, just as much as I know about gaming is what I know about PC's and all that, I'm a noob of note about hardware and software, and that is why I am here right now.

I have been playing on a HP laptop since I started, everything on the lowest form of graphics and all that just so that I can get past not having cpu lag at like 70supply lol, its insane, annoys the shit out of me, no special abilities can be used, no stim, no storm, no infesting etc, I get to see like 1 frame every 2 - 3 sec (allowing me at least to take a sip of coffee before the battle commences lol). That has forced me away from team games that I loved so much, I achived Master in 4v4rt 3v3rt and 2v2at, as well as being promoted to Diamond in 1v1 this season, but Platinum games and and AT team games were relatively easy to rush and keep the supply low so that I dont get bad lag, but now in Diamond its a bit of a struggle to finish a game under 15min causing me to have like 3 losses to a win due to lag.

Beacause I'm starting to take my sc a bit more serious I have decided to dedicate a room in my house to a gaming room spicifically for sc, I have decided to having a gaming rig made up and get better internet etc, I want to know if my gaming rig's specs that I have ordered is sufficient for sc while all the settings are on ultra, and if not to please help me configure the rig as well as choose the appropriate internet as I stay in Cape Town.

600w Performance psu
Intel motherboard (not too sure on product code, just know that its the right one for the cpu)
i5 Ivy bridge 3.2 ghz (quad)
8gb ram 1600 (again not sure on brand)
MSI gtx 560 graphics card
1T sata3 HDD
60g SSD
LG Flatron W2343S 23" FHD LCD
Razer Naga Hex Raith addition gaming mouse
Razer Anansi gaming Keyboard
Logitech 2.1 sound

(The screen, mouse, keyboard and speakers I already have, the rig I am paying for on the 25th)

Internet: (What I am looking at)
4mbps uncapped unthrottled ADSL

Please note, I have no idea what most of the stuff is, how it works, why it works, or how good it is, this is just advice from a friend of mine who is a gamer. I ONLY play sc, and want to be more focussed with it and get into master or even gm, I am currently rank 11 Diamond and atm my gear is letting me down, and that is why I am making a change for the better to get the right rig (providing the above mentioned is good enough) and the right internet.

Hey I have a i5 with a gtx 560ti and the game automatically sets everything to ultra, one thing though,how much are you paying for a 560 GPU, the reason im asking is because that card isn't even on suppliers price lists anymore and you would be better off getting a gtx 660 or HD7870 this obviously depends on what your paying for the 560 if its under R3000 then sure.
 
That sounds awesome, well to be honest, u will probably be pist at this but it was a bit of contradealing involved and im getting the hole rig (excl monitor, mouse, kb and sound) for R3200

And its from a mate of mine so I do trust it
 
Ty for the welcoming, I am enjoying the forum thus far, and I have read a lot on that thread u mentioned, but unfortunately I dont have the time to read 70 pages lol. Are there any master league or diamond league players in CT that anyone knows of?
 
yo if you're cape town based I suggest mweb their latency is amazing, I play wow, sc2 and d3 and can get latency as low as 160ms, your rig is more than enough for sc2. OH! and if you want some assistance I'm a relatively decent player and pretty involved in the competitive scene
 
Ah ok awesome, it really helps getting all the feedback, but I was 100% serious when I said I know very little regarding pc terms etc, I dont know what "160ms" is or pings or anything, lol, I just use my email to log in, use my password, select multiplayer and and select search game, from there onwards I get to fimiliar grounds, lol. Ok well I would def take u up on it, if u have whatsapp or bbm then drop me a message with the details and we can get the chatting :) and if ur in CT that would be so much better! What are your leagues and races?
