MechWarrior Online revealed; it's a free-to-play PC exclusive

This is great news. I loved the old dos game and 1 or 2 of the other versions as well. I reckon this will be a lot of fun.
 
Cool! Its been ages since I've played a Mechwarrior game. I loved Mechwarrior 2:31st century combat. I tried Mechwarrior 3 but my pc at the time wasn't up to scratch. If the specs for the online version aren't too hectic, I'd be keen to check it out.
 
Awesome! Wow I still remember the into of the 1st one just when I bought my Sound Blaster Pro!! Will definitely give this a go! Thx for the heads-up James!
 
I remember seeing the trailer for this reboot a year or so ago.

Wow, haven't seen these in AGES! I loved the original MW games, purely because you cannot not like running around in huge mechs destroying everything around you :D

Will be interesting to see the online adaptation for this. Hopefully my ADSL is fixed by the time I do get home :)
 
Some news on Mechwarrior online. They're going to be using CryEngine 3 for the game so it should look pretty good (better than in the video in my previous post). Interesting trivia: this will be "technically" the second Mech game to use a version of CryEngine, can you guess which is the first?
