Micro-transaction DLC: money is the language Microsoft understands

Ha ha. This is funny because corporates will say "we listen to you and we care and we will change if you give us input" but in actual fact they know that 20% will not buy into their schemes while the majority of people will. In the end it is all about money and they will force us to conform in the end. :)

Okay, so I'll support only GOTY, ultimate or complete editions or grab them when they are dirt cheap in a couple of years time....sorry microtransactions are bull$hit in AAA R600-R700 games, DLC is bad, but not as bad as microtransactions, screw that

Microtransactions are ok, provided the game is free and they aren't pay to win.
What's happening here is the sharp decline on the already slippery slope of DLC (that should be in the game in the first place). The very fact that you can skip grind opens up that terrible pathway of developers making content that is unnecessarily grindy. Sure thing, do it in a free to play game (like how LoL gives you the option) but seriously, making the actual game (that was paid for and not cheaply either) just a platform to entice people to give you more money is an ultrakak thing to do.

Indeed. Demanding more money from you in order for you to fully enjoy a title you have already spent R700 on is the height of avarice. Sadly they have very little incentive to actually drop the model because they know full well that there are enough people willing to throw that money at them to outweigh people whom are unwilling to part with their money for things that should already be theirs.

In this matter we are sadly the vocal minority.
