Minecraft beta 1.8 ‘Adventure Update’ officially released

oooooh I have give this a try!
Last version I played was a few months ago. Change quite a bit im sure!!
 
This is definitely the breath of fresh air Minecraft needed to suck me back in. Been having tons of fun since yesterday.
 
Decent update, well worth the wait. So many additions make it inviting for new players or players who have taken a break from it. Dynamic lighting system is a decent improvement from the old lighting system. Food bar, XP are nice additions. Personally I don't quite understand the point of the Endermen. They don't appear to be particularly nasty and seem to have a rather little HP, perhaps this was patched in 1.8.1

Just google the experience orb fix. If the server disables experience (which is useless anyway), the performance goes up a lot. It seems that the amount of exp orbs you drop causes intense lag in the game.

Thanks, didn't know that. Will likely turn it off in the new server being launched shortly.

Oh, that's nice. I'll take a look at that once I start up my server again.
 
Saw the lighting was like :0 so nice looking, The game seems to lag now but i dono my be changed something since i played a few months back but looks so nice now. Are there any cool servers in SA at the moment?
