Most underrated games.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines - underrated? Er, I think the abundance of people mentioning the game here and the fact that any gamer you chat to will rate it highly means that this game is/was defintely not underrated.

I'd agree, which is why in my first post I said it was more "overlooked" than it was underrated. It sold at a really precarious time and was overshadowed by Half Life 2.

There are quite a few gems that's happened to, which is, I guess, why they live on in a kind of cyber pop culture.

One game I thought was jolly good fun was that one where you threw a rotating blade. Dark something. Googled it but get random larping stuff.

Dark Sector is the game you're looking for. And it is on my list as well.

I really enjoy a lot of the underrated games. Favourites would be Dead To Rights: Retribution, Dark Sector, Splatterhouse and Bionic Commando. I might also add Clive Barker's Jericho to that list depending on how things turn out.

Wasn't there a thread like this before?

My list:

Freelancer
Desperados
Black Hawk Down
Act Of War
Project I.G.I.
Ground Control
Uprising: Join Or Die
Codename: Outbreak
Earth 2150
Sniper
Stronghold
Space Colony
Crimson Skies
Titan Quest
Call of Duty 5 - World At War
Wolfenstien 2009

Ones that were mentioned:

Frontlines: Fuel of War
Vampires: The Masquerade (All of them really, not just bloodlines)
Age of Mythology

Here's my list:

Okami
psychonauts
Haunting Ground
Wild Arms (all of them)
Legacy of Kain (first one)
Chronicles of Riddick

Not sure if these were underrated/under the radar:

No one lives forever
Undying
Alice
Jade Empire

Okami.

The "doggy game" as my good friends call it. This game is legendary. Guaranteed to make you laugh/cry/scream within its 20-hour duration. And it's fun.

Psychonaughts is really good, but not very violent or anything if you need that sort of thing (some people would think it's for kids I think).

The Neverhood, also really good but never did so well.

Psychonaughts is really good

Oh God... this.

I found Psychonauts to be a bit boring at the start, but it has the most diverse gameplay of any game that I know, which just progresses more and more as the game goes on. A must-play.

It is really awesome. I really liked the diversity of the different areas in the game, they really seem like totally different places.

You can get it on Steam and from GOG.com for about $10 FYI.

What about Vanquish? I'm playing that now and it's awesome, but hardly anyone seems to have played it

I know it's opposite to the threads title but I found Torchlight to be very overrated. Many put it as their game of the year but I found it painful. It was a watered down Diablo.

Age of Empires 2. What I'd give to play some more multiplayer games on AoE2...

More recently, Dante's Inferno
