Someone at work asked me how she might insert an entry into the table of contents of a Word document
after she had accidentally deleted that subsection link.
I tried the "view in outline mode" as well as "view in normal mode" thing to try to make sense of it and also
enabled field codes but could not understand how the [PAGEREF string of numbers related to the documents page
number. I was hoping I could use that to link the new inserted subheading to a page.
Do any of you know of a simple way of inserting additional entries within the table of contents of a word document?
I know that I could just take my original document and create a new index, but now that I have tried to do this, I can't get the problem
out of my mind and would like to know how one inserts TOC entries.
