MW3 vs BF3

EA can't fix shit. Sorry boys if BC2 is something to measure Dice by, don't hold your breaths for BF3, Hope i am dead wrong as 64 player mayhem would be excellent.

Guys why are we actually comparing these 2? I love both for separate reasons. Battlefield will never be Cod and Cod will never be Battlefield.

+1 Not forgetting the big patches, that brings more problems then it solves, now imagine bigger maps = bigger patches yes no?

It might be the case. But having a 4meg line, along with WA Steam servers being freezoned is a relief for when having to download a big patch. ( Yes, I bought BC2 on Steam and I will do the same with BF3)

If Dice can get back to basics of BF 2, and use some of BFBC2 addons, it will rock!!!
MW3 looks definitely like a MW2 addon - They need a new Engin

I think my only issue with BF has always been that the maps are too big for me, I prefer close quarters combat that is very fast, the madness of it all keeps me interested. CoD normally have medium sized maps with 8v8 or 10v10, having massive maps with 64 people on it encourages camping (which is VERY prevalent in SA gaming sadly) and that makes it boring and drawn out (for me). Though I do think between the two there is no competition in graphics and I do so love pretty games :P

BF is supposed to be bigger though, CoD is much more of a CQC game while BF games like BF2 were great because of their huge scale maps with various vehicles like jets and helicopters and things :D.
Each game isnt that long and it can tend to be quite fun if you play with a squad of friend

You're playing with the wrong people boet! ;)

Even if it's just your squad against the world, you can sometimes still make it happen and the feeling of achievement is so much more.

Jump onto your high horse and climb on the hype wagon!
Part of media is the hype that it can create. Like any game, I will play both, and if either/both gets deleted at whatever point in the singleplayer, I won't buy it.
PS: Now you can 'shat' on me for not buying games first:p

Ok, so the subscription has been confirmed for MW3 but now apparently it won't have dedicated servers either? Activision are trying to give this one to BF3 imo.

Lol, after i read the part "no dedi servers" no more buying MW3. All hope is on BF3 now....

Still a little hope left, got thiis from a friend who got it from Robert:

Will there be Dedicated server for PC?
I want dedicated servers for the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 and we are currently discussing how we can support them, however am not ready to confirm if they will or will not be part of MW3.

The decision to create IWnet was a simple one, we wanted to make the PC version of our game more accessible. We were successful in this by introducing matchmaking and a lobby system. You could quickly find a game, but you did not have the control and consistency that our PC players have come to enjoy.

In an ideal world, I would like Modern Warfare 3 to have both. The ability to the mass PC user to quickly get in a game by default matchmaking via IWnet. However, I would also like to accommodate our users who desire a dedicated server experience, whether by direct IP input or server browser support.

These are the discussions we are currently having on how we can look at go back to our Call of Duty 4 philosophy of PC specific feature.

I rest my case on both till I see it infront of me if one's hit registry is right then yes & if another has Dedicated Servers then yes. Till Then ima stick to Uncharted 3. No watch 360 fan boys is gonna come along and say Gears Of War 3.

Looks like its the year of the 3.

Ek gaan 3 keer vir Bossie doodskiet sodat hy 3 keer bloei en 3 keer rol as hy ooit weer n pc game soos n regte man speel.... :)

I'm going to wait till I play a demo of each before I choose but, ATM I'm leaning towards Battlefield 3.
