The Swedish hypercar gets its interesting name from its one-to-one power to weight ratio — 1360PS (1000kW) against the car’s weight of 1360 kilograms.
That power comes from a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out an insane 1371Nm of torque to compliment its 1360 horsepower.

The One:1 is claimed to have a top speed of 439km/h — quicker than the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport that currently holds the world record of 431km/h. There aren’t any official performance numbers out yet, but the aim for the car was to be able to hit 400km/h in less than 20 seconds.
It weighs 20 per cent lighter than its predecessor, the Agera thanks to the extensive use of carbonfibre and also features loads of active aerodynamic features, including a rear wing that produces 610kg of downforce making sure you’re always stuck to the ground.
Stopping power is provided by a huge set of carbon-ceramic disk brakes which can halt you from 400km/h to a complete stop in 10 seconds.

The interior very much resembles a race car with a set of racing style bucket seats and an in-car screen that triples up as a GPS system, infotainment system and as a tool for “Predictive Active Track Mode” to help you smash your One:1 around the track.
It has a cup holder, too.
Unfortunately only six of these weapons will be made and four have already been bought in China which doesn’t leave very long for you to win the lotto and buy the other two.

I don't get this whole thing. Seriously. Bugatti made a car with exquisite detail and luxury, all while being, literally, the fastest road car on the planet and they built quite a few of them. I don't believe the record for "fastest production car" should ever be handed to something that seems to have been built purely for speed, and only produced in single-digit numbers - such as the car in the topic.

This Koenigsegg was built to break the speed record. It was not meant to be comfortable, stylish or by any means reliable. The Bugatti checks ALL of those boxes whilst still being utterly fast as well. I think manufacturers are missing the point Bugatti was making.

Oh, by the way, the "fastest" road car title was already removed from Bugatti by another back-yard project called Hennessey Venom GT. Again, only focussing on speed and nothing else. Pffft.

I think that's wrong cos the Hennessy Venom GT is now faster was confirmed last week and it's actual tested at nasa

I'm guessing no airbags? Realistically at 400kmh you'll go splat with or without anyway.

On February 14th, 2014, on the Kennedy Space Center’s 3.22-mile shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey team recorded a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) with Director of Miller Motorsport Park, Brian Smith, at the wheel.[SUP][5][/SUP] As the run was in a single direction and only 11 cars have been produced to date, and is not a series production car, but registered as a modified Lotus Exige, it does not qualify as the worlds fastest production car in the Guiness Book of Records.[SUP][6][/SUP]

I'd be surprised if either can hold on to the record for long against the Veyron...that thing is just insane.
In 2011, Wolfgang Dürheimer stated that the company was committed to producing the world's fastest car, and would respond to any competitors that produced a faster car.[SUP][106][/SUP] In October 2012, Automobile Magazine reported rumours of a new variant called the SuperVeyron which was due to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013. However, Bugatti president Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber spoke with Autoblog and announced that no such project is in development. Despite this he did state that a replacement for the Veyron model is in the works after the model reaches its end of production.[SUP][107][/SUP]

VW has quite a bit more budget & engineering resources than either Koenigsegg or Hennessey Performance Engineering so its only a matter of time imo.

It'll do one run and the clutch will be gone...
Nothing and I mean nothing is built like a Bugatti Veyron.
The attention to detail in that car is mind boggling.

Oh and this

Unfortunately only six of these weapons will be made.

Not a mass produced car, no record. Same goes for the venom thing.

neo i hope you do realise that every part of a koenigsseg is hand made(lights included) by the way and the agera r is actually faster than a veyron ss since the same circuit they test cars in germany is run by vw and bugatti is also a bmw company hence why the agera r was not allowed to be tested there, i see you talk about detail, bud u talkin about a handmade custom car vs a production car,

FTFY, also bugatti has so many more resources, i say just enjoy the engineering marvels they are while we can.
