Hi all and The Joker,

I'm looking to build or get a pre-built PC for a client. I still need to ascertain whether or not they want new peripherals with it as well.

Any suggestions as to maybe how I should go about it (building or pre-built) let me know.

I gave the client a price as to how much it will cost, but it seems I will have to readjust it.

If I cannot get this sorted, they will have to be satisfied with a decent laptop at best.

Thanks for any help.

:)

No offence and with all due respect, a gaming rig with a budget of R5k?!

I would recommend R10k+ or am I being cynical here.

What's need is a tower case, motherboard, CPU and RAM. Regarding peripherals/accessories, I will have to inquire. I gave the customer a more or less amount (post-checking online).

Any price that is higher I will inform the client of.

Thanks for the feedback, still looking over all these things. :)

Hagan a laptop for R5000 is really decent those are just okay.

But yeah if the person has nothing R5000 is not going to cut it.

Hagan im sure its doable (case only) excludes monitor and peripherals

Wootware
AMD FX-6300 Vishera Black Edition 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ Desktop CPU R1,666.00
MSI 970A-G43 970 Chipset AM3+ ATX Desktop Motherboard R1,024.00
EVGA 01G-P3-2730-KR 1024MB DDR3 128bit PCI-E 2.0 16x Desktop Graphics Card R994.00
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500gb, Sata6G, 7200rpm 3.5" Internal Hard Drive R715

Takealot
Crucial 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Desktop SS - Components Memory R 468
Coolermaster K-280 ATX Chassis No PSU - Black R423
Raidmax K Series 450W Power Supply Unit R 271

cheapest i can come up with is R5561 , the am3+ is still competitive for its age and the 6 core cpu would be good for another 2-3 years, I'll recommend an Fx6300 (6 core) over an I3 (hyperthreading dual core) Everytime, the gpu will hold it back I admit but he can probably pick up a used radeon 5850/6850 for that price. ad another R130 for 2 120mm case fans if needed

You can buy my G3258 PC running a GTX550ti.
It's a mix of old and new parts.

It does LoL/DOTA2 and CStrike GO perfectly fine.
To be more speficic

CPU: 3600 score on passmark.
GPU: 2200 on passmark.

I appreciate the feedback and have started with calculations. Once done, I will contact the client for for necessary information.
