Where do you work? The Gigabyte GTX590 is so sexy in its packaging! and it comes with an awesome mouse! What PSU did he buy and what GPU do you have?
 
I go through gfx cards more than most people do..This year alone ive gone through 6 already and getting my GTX580 tomorrow. To be honest I don't see the point..Yes its a beast and yes its the fastest blah blah..Untill next month or the month after that something newer better faster comes around, and suckers like me get pulled into buying it lol.

I won't be getting a GTX590 though...Just costs way to much. Besides I don't see anything lagging on my current set up or even on my 3 previous set ups xD lol
 
I know but i only upgrade maybe once a year maybe longer. Always adding new things like screens etc but the rig stays more or less the same!
 
Mmmmm ive only changed rigs 3 times this year lol xD as in complete rig builds. ( Except for the psu, Still have the 1 I got in December lol)
Yeah i chop and change alot when it comes to gfx cards though.

Just look at the price difference between the current AMD 6850 and nVIDIA GTX 560 cards.
 
6870 and GTX560 are very closely priced...think i can get them both for around R2300. So even though im a ATI fanboy, Nvidia are def catching up in terms of bang for buck gfx cards. That being said a a 6970 is considerably cheaper than a GTX580..well from my supplier an anyway.

Just got the 590 from the supplier, damn nice casing, but sho, the price tag.

Frank, I got my own little shop. The guy bought a Antec 1200W PSU and I've got a "measly" Asus HD5870.

Very true, but the nvidia gtx570 is around the performance of the 6970, so compare apples with apples. The 570 is cheaper than the 6970.

Edit: i.e. "more bang for buck" buying the gtx570
