The GTX 260 can now be found for €173 (R2210), a significant drop from the €200 (R2560) + price point it was selling for just a few weeks ago

I paid 230 Pounds for mine, excluding import taxes and stuff :(

I really have to stop buying stuff right off the bat
 
Ok but wait now ... if I want to upgrade my 8600GT, what do I go for? ... or more importantly, what do I WAIT for?

ATi/Nvidia ?

I'm pretty much in the same boat, got a 8800GTS 320mb and I am soo confused at the moment.:confused:

GTX 260 core 216 55nm refresh. Buy it from america. With the new price cut and customs and shipping it will work out to be about R2700 in total.
 
I don't really mind whether I'm using an Nvidia or ATI card. In the end it depends on the price. I bought a 9800GTX+ about a month ago because it was cheaper than the 4850's at that time. The GTX 260 and 4870's were out of my price range at that stage.
