Who loved the single player of painkiller I thought it was so fun aand the sound track was awesome.:) I see there is a new one comming out wonder if that will be fun I know it uses the old engine but I don't care.:D
 
I'm sure they won't be using the exact same engine from a game that old. Perhaps a revamped one?

It was good for some mindless killing action though, but something tells me the new Serious Sam might trump it.
 
I would rather play Serious Sam for some mindless killing, but agree painkiller was fun especially that staking gun.
 
I didn't like it. Got a free copy of it when I bought my 8800GT some time ago. I didn't give it much time, but after a few minutes of play I came to the conclusion that I could use my gaming time to enjoy myself a little more.
 
I liked the setting of painkiller and serious sam 2 sucked so much I hope that the new one does not suck
 
I really wanted to like Painkiller. It looked so stylish and I loved the Serious Sam games. But wow I got bored with it quickly. The idea behind it is so good but something just didn't work for me.
 
I loved Painkiller, especially the epic boss fights.

The only thing I hated is that there was no co-op :(
 
I played Painkiller a few years ago. It was great old school fun. Not so sure I care about a sequel though.

@Deceptor: I played the Will Rock demo many years ago too and it was terrible. Serious Sam is much more fun. :)
 
Painkiller Resurrection will be using a significantly modified engine from the original, updated graphics and physics etc.

From the gameplay videos I've seen though, it doesn't sound like it will have a similar kick ass soundtrack, they had some kind of orchestral music playing =/ Gameplay still looks tight though, very close to the original, swarms and big bad bosses.
