Power rangers movie costumes revealed

The new Power Rangers may be sticking with the original characters' names, but they won't be wearing the same Spandex suits.

Revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the teenage heroes' new suits have a more artificial, almost insectile look to them.

There seems to be a good reason for that: production designer Andrew Menzies says, "Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”

“The show was about kids coming of age, about metamorphosis,” explained director, Dean Israelite. “These suits needed to feel like they were catalyzed by these kids and their energy, their spirit.”

Original series villain, Rita Repulsa has also got a very new look, which was revealed last month.

Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Billy & Trini are scheduled to return in March 2017 - the new movie has already got a logo and entered production.

So the girl power rangers traded in their skirts for high heels? :/
Wish they did not use Boob plates. (yes I read the reason why they did so. still think it looks stupid)
Costumes are way to busy.
Wish they did not use the silver mouth plate but had a full helmet. (I know the original ones had them as well)

i think it looks cool.

as long as i still see the zippers on the putty men i'm cool, that's a classic look
