Dinosaurs and violence will be coming to PS4 in the first quarter of next year with Primal Carnage: Extinction. The multi-player, classed based shooter is coming to PC next month.
Set on a "mysterious island" overrun with prehistoric beasts, players can choose to fight as either a member of a human mercenary team or as a dinosaur. The mercs are outfitted with a variety of weapons and tactics, while the dinosaurs are dinosaurs, and therefore possess enormous teeth and size. The game has 12 different environments and will launch with two game modes: Team Deathmatch and "Get to the Chopper," an objective-based mode.
Primal Carnage: Extinction is the best fans of the Primal Carnage series can hope for at the moment, as Primal Carnage: Genesis, the prequel to the original Primal Carnage, has been put on hold indefinitely.
"If everything goes well for us with Primal Carnage: Extinction we would definitely consider pursuing Genesis," said Circle 5's Aaron Pollack, but for now, "Genesis is effectively still on hold."
