PS Vita pricing announced (E3)

The pricing is a bit steep, considering it cost almost the same like a PS3 brand new. I really want one, but i am not so willing to pay the kind of money maybe if i used it a bit and then decide if it worth it.

Is PlayStation Vita Region Free?

Will Sony's handheld be region locked? We found out today...

In a PlayStation Vita session for European and Australian press at E3 today, Michael Denny, Sony's Vice President of Sony Worldwide Studios Europe, confirmed that - to the best of his knowledge - Vita would be region free.

This means games from any region will play on systems from any region. This is in line with the PlayStation 3 - which is also region free, but not with the 3DS, which has region restrictions. Good news for PlayStation fans who want to check out niche Japanese titles or purchase games while travelling.

Day one purchase for me :D.

Pricey, but you get what you pay for I guess. Not sure I'd get one myself, not really big on handheld's.

Doesn't sound like too bad of a price, but considering it's a handheld platform is probably another aspect. I'm probably not even going to worry about it - consoles all the way for me. Won't waste my time with handhelds :)

I like handhelds. I bought the PSP on day one. But I found that I didn't really like a lot of the games- guess I'm not a Sony fanboy :P I still have it, don't play with it much but I opted for a Nintendo 3DS instead this time round because I liked the DS's games more. To each, his own.
