How old are your units? Mine is still going strong and (knock on wood) hasn't given me a single problem.

My advice, wait a year or 2 till the price drops and all technical issues are sorted.
At the very least never buy at launch.

About 2 years. It takes aaaaaaaaaaaaages to load anything and I get tons of lagging and audio drop out. Haven't finished Uncharted 3 as a result.

Yeah, I'd have been looking with envy at The Last of Us if I didn't also have a PS3.

At least 4G+... Consoles in general...'s prices are substantially high upon launch (with the exception of maybe getting a game or peripheral with it).

I will be getting the Nextbox at launch if it is below the R6000.00 price point for the premium package.

I am sure that M$ have learnt through their mistakes regarding build quality.

Sounds like you harddrive is failing, one of my friends machine was doing the same, turned out to be the HDD. If you have a spare you can test it out.
