Resident Evil 4 HD remake gets release date, Resident Evil 6 announcement on the way

Mmmmm I am totally going to pick these games out.
I the urg to play a horror game.

still have my dreamcast version of code veronica (both discs) I sure hope it gets a decent overall graphically and not just upscale like current ps3 hd classics

When I got into PS2 Code Veronica was nowhere to be found, much like ICO (thank goodness for these HD remakes). I can hardly think it being better than RE4 though.
 
I had code veronica on PS2, but i could never finish it cause it use to glitch and freeze up at the same point everytime, and before you think its was a copy, let me correct you it wasnt. Maybe i will get the remake and finish it up for a change.

As for Resident Evil 6, wasnt RE5 also a complete revamp off from the old system? I hope they do a better job on 6, 5 was good for a play through but questionable at most.

to my knowledge the ps2 version was essentially a dreamcast port so the porting team might have done a shoddy job the same way as why marvel vs capcom 2 is better on the dc compared to the ps2, xbox versions.

I don't think so. I remember watching Cybernet back then and they noted the improved graphics for the PS2 version, I think it had some extra content too. They didn't mention it being a shoddy port.

Without a doubt, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is an excellent port of a game that was released a year and a half ago. The PlayStation 2 version does everything that its Dreamcast brother did as well or better, and it boasts an extra 10 minutes of FMV footage detailing series villain Wesker's involvement with Umbrella

My guess is you either had a bad disc or the laser wasn't liking it for some or other reason.

Yeah i also though so at first but i had 4 PS2, and i played it on the Phat silver PS2 then the slim Silver PS2 and it did the same thing, no scratches on the disc, but i had alot of atifacts or rather anomilies in the game, where they rain was pouring of the roof tops i saw code and no images, when i dog attacked it was a dog at first then just a whole bunch of letters and numbers, it got worse and i progress till it decided to freeze up and not continue. I just drop it after,

I only got a PS2 just before the PS3 came out, so I missed out on quite a few awesome games.
 
I need to finish Code Veronica as well, came near the end, but never finished it. RE4 is one of my favourite PS2 games so I'll definately get both :D
 
Awesome. I'm a new fan to the resident evil series, so hoping to pick up both- might get it on disc if they release it that way.
 
I have some fond memories of RE :D But don't think I'll get this, there is just too many new games comming out and only so much money for it. Rather saving up for Skyrim and ME3
 
It's about time!! Code Veronica was amazing on the Sega Dreamcast. I hope they will add trophies to all the games!!
