Not even just that, TOR took some subs away and that is affecting the bottom line. Throw GW2 in the mix we will see more MMOs going F2P or dying out, because they have to.
Personally prefer TOR over RIFT while I wait and see on GW2. RIFT engine is nice, but laggy which TOR isn't on my box. Besides when I log in to RIFT it's practically empty. Would be nice to hear from someone who play WoW if it's the same even in small numbers.
Didn't DDO go F2P as well, or does it have an option for a premium subscription? I've been meaning to check DDO out for a while now, but haven't gotten around to downloading it yet.
Not sure if the prices have been slashed any, but here's the current prices;
30 days - 12.99 euro
90 days - 35.97 euro
180 days - 65.94 euro
So it does get about 1 euro cheaper per month for every upgraded bundle.
Not sure what the price for the annual pass is as it's not showing in-store, but I know you get Diablo 3 for free with it.
