SA developed STASIS hits Kickstarter

It looks like an incredibly well-polished game.

Where are all these SA game devs coming from? Popping out of everywhere lately :p

This looks like something that's right up my alley. Point-and-click sci-fi. Like Arcanum, but sci-fi. Somehow I have to back this. But I don't have R190 just chilling around right now.

Smoke or drink less?

heheh, yeah, I have to wait till friday to see if I can perhaps back it.

The "fallout X dead space" story/setting/look this game has looks really promising

Backers who contribute $449 or more will receive Unobtanium credit in-game and your name and likeness added to the character bio of one of the corpses you’ll see in-game.

That's a lot of money but the reward's pretty cool.

I wanted so badly to be on one of the missing person posters in Crysis 2 :o

Doesn't grab me. I'm downloading the alpha realease anyway just to see what it's like.

It just doesn't seem to be in the true spirit of what point & click adventures are all about. It seems like this game can't decide whether it's a point & click aventure, or an RPG. I like scifi/horror, but not in a FEAR/Doom 3/Bioshock kind of way. I also don't like the perspective for this type of game. It should either be a 2D Side Scroller or a full 3D environment or perhaps a bit of both.

This game seems to use a Diablo/XCom style camera view.

Nothing wrong with an isometric viewpoint. I actually wish more RPGs would adopt the isometric viewpoint simply because it's so charming.

I am really impressed with the work coming from SA developers. They are creeping up to international standards at an exponential pace and I cannot wait to play some of the games in development. This one looks interesting.

local is lekker indeed! i am willing to support it purely on the fact that its local :) now lets hope its actually pretty good :)
