According to the latest election predictions by the SABC, the ruling ANC could secure 262 seats in Parliament, slightly fewer than after the last general elections in 2009.
The early predictions, posted on elections.sabc.co.za, put the African National Congress's number of seats in the 400-seat National Assembly for the next five years at 262.
If accurate, it would mean the ruling party had secured two seats fewer than in the last elections.
