Seems like the next C&C game will be called Alliances

Looks interesting, I just really hope they bring back the old game mechanics of the older versions. Old school must come back. :-)

Just hope they don't stuff it up like what happened with Starcraft 2

In what way was SC2 stuffed up? I thought they did well to keep the old school RTS elements while adding some good improvements and innovations.

I'm not holding my breathe on this one. My interest in the franchise died after Red Alert 3 and C&C4. Might check it out when it comes out but I cant say I'm highly anticipating anymore sequels, dont want to taint my memories of Tiberium Dawn/Sun any further.

I agree. CnC 3 was very good, Kane's wrath was ok and Red alert 3 and CnC4 were some of the biggest disappointments of the last decade.

How was SC2 stuffed up. I'm sorry, but it sounds like you're talking out of your bunghole here. Not that you'll probably bother replying, because I get the feeling you're just another 10 post competition kiddo.

I can agree on C&C4, but I actually enjoyed RA3. The only thing I found disappointing about RA3 was the way resource gathering was handled. I want my ore fields. :(

C'mon guys
RA3, was epic, if you knew how to play it and didn't get perma Pwnt online, it was awesome
Can't wait for this, as long as its not another CC4 :/

The old styled ore fields has got issues...such as ore collectors can be easily taken down..

Yeah, but that was one of the building blocks of the C&C genre. You had to make sure you could protect your ore miners.

Haven't played a good RTS in a while. C&C Generals (and the expansion Zero Hour) was my favourite. I remember building my Chinese base up and having 25+ Nuclear Bunkers scattered across the screen.

And when it was time to launch... pure mayhem!

Only reason Starcraft 2 would be a stuff up is if you weren't able to beat it or play it properly.

I thoroughly enjoyed Starcraft 2. Nice visual, epic battles and intense moments.

I agree with this ^^ man.. I loved Starcraft 2, it was awesome.. If u couldn't play/pass certain levels then strategy jus ain't ur thing or u suck..:D hehe..:)

And this ^^ is true..I also enjoyed RA3.. Iv even got it on Xbox.:) Strategy games aren't the best on Xbox but I got it for free so I'm not really complaining...:)

This. Added more tactics to the game.

Yeah, it added a whole new strategic depth to the game, as the moment your ore fields ran out you were forced to expand your base to find new fields. Taking out someone's ore miners was also a very good tactic, as it had the ability to cripple their economy.

Me and my friends LANed RA3 yesterday, and I've come to the conclusion that C&C3 was more about managing your base, economy and army, and RA3 had a minimalist approach so you could spend less time managing your base and more time focusing on the actual battles.

I liked cnc 3. But it lacked the atmosphere of tib sun.(my fav cnc) I loved slavick. I mean that marcus oke was nothing compared to the true leader of the black hand. And he was kanes loyal dog.

And I just digged tibs suns cutscenes so much more :D

I never actually played anything that came before Red Alert 2. Well, I once tried my hand at Tiberium Sun, but the AI didn't much care for me. C&C3 is one of my favorite RTSs though, mostly because it is one of the last true RTS experiences to come out before the dawn of 'RTSs need to mix it up' and DoW2 and C&C4 destroyed the genre. It's also hectically easy to get into, but allows for so much strategic depth it's not even funny.

I really enjoyed Red Alert 3, found the game a lil cheesy compared to the previous installments but a lot more fun. I actually didn't like the whole ally thing in the campaign as I prefer to do missions on my own, but apart from that it was awesome. Still one of my top 10 strategy games of all time.
