Well both characters are super popular in Japan, so I think it will do pretty well there, considering the franchises are still going after a few pretty abysmal sequels.

Just totally off topic, if you havent, watch the original The Grudge. . . aka the Japanese version. You will never be the same again.

Even if I've already seen the remake? I've not watched it yet as I assumed I'd already have seen the best scares in the remake considering it was remade by the director of the original and even used the same house/ghost actors. Did watch the sequels though.

I actually only saw the original, accidently, due to the fact that the library I loaned the dvd from had it in the wrong box. I will say that I cannot watch scary stuff anymore.
 
I loved the theory of Jason vs Freddy :)
Sometimes it can be fun but depends on the bad guys involved and the director.
