Star Wars: The Old Republic

Ok... Took the pluge last night and bought the game.

Rolled and Empire Inquisitor. made him real big and fat.

Bloodsomethingsomething server.

I hate you all for making me do this to my life.
 
Don't really know what to do in the game any more.

Reached 50 and it mostly seems pointless to do anything. Crafting is pointless because you get better gear from PvP and hardmode flashpoints an while quests are nice, they are still all mostly the same in the end.

I really want to enjoy the game and I do still feel that there's more that I want to do. I just don't know if it's worth another month of subscription.

All that remains are the instances and ops and of course the insane daily quests. I am just going to play my level 50 to do the instances and hard mode instances with my friends and thats it. I reckon those will be a lot of fun with people you know ;-)

Alting time! Still got 7 more characters to play, at least a few months more for me.

I dinged 50 last week on my assassin and since then the only 'end game' stuff I did was tank Eternity Vault 8man normal. Got some nice gear and an ugly ass "taxi" speeder drop. I haven't bothered with HM's or anything yet.

Busy leveling a sexy bounty hunter now. There's enough alt-driven content to keep us busy while they sort out the end-game bugs etc.

I do want to the the ops and HM FPs. Just don't really know if it's worth another month.

I guess I'm going to decide that with Lycan today.

I'm conflicted though. Don't think I'm up for any more alts, but even that I'm uncertain about :p

I'd like to keep playing and doing all the old quests. But unfortunately this is one aspect of WoW that TOR didn't implement: you don't get extra money for doing old quests, ergo, they're largely meaningless.

I enjoy the story, sure, but crafting is expensive, so I need money, money is only really sourced (at this stage) from (HM) heroics, there's little point in doing the old heroics just to farm cash and rubbish items, and it's impossible to get a friendly group together to do HM heroics to collect the materials I really need for end-level crafting.

So, conundrum.

Has the spark of TOR finally died for us? I'm guessing it has.

Might grab another month and just see how it goes but right now that just feels like a waste :p

You never played the first Knights of the Old Republic games? They is teh AWESOME.

I'm much more into Star Trek than the Star Wars movies, but the Star Wars lore and universe is better by far.

At least that's my opinion.

The Star Trek MMO just looks and feels tragic :o

well im loving pvp at the moment! Basically went from 46 to 49 (valor rank 28)just through pvping and the XP is actually pretty cool. I also changed my maruader from annihilation to Rage and i am pooning in the warzones now! My best is the AOE crits im getting!!
A healer saw me get a trip kill with my AOE smash and basically never left my side, a healer/maruader combo is devestation! With all the pvping iv done when i hit 50 i will have enough to buy 5 champ bags.

Im still thoroughly enjoying the game and any case march they releasing more content which hopefully will be good
 
I haven't done much lvl50 content at all as previously stated. Ilum is so broken it's not even funny. I've been leveling my mercenary most of the time. Loving their dps!

However, I did tank EV 8man normal & got the 110% speeder that looks like a taxi. The Soa fight was actually really cool.

Last night I did my first HM, The False emperor. Very cool fights and as a semi spoiler, it was REALLY cool seeing HK-47 again from the KOTOR series. :) Too bad I had to kill him. :(

The final boss in the false emperor confused me, I was asked to join the group quickly and had to spacebar through the quest :( so I missed half the storyline. Anyway, I won his speeder too. At least now I don't have to use the taxi one again.
 
I hate every single one of you on this forum for suggesting this game.

With me sitting at my desk at work all day and now my desk at home all night my legs are going to atrophy and I have already picked up several kilo's.

This game is too fun for me.
 
I am extremely sad to say that I will not be renewing my sub for SWTOR.

I need to first say that I LOVE this game. The lore, the gameplay, the community.

But the bugs... I just cannot live with myself paying R150p.m. for something that doesn't work. If it's not me having to re-install every third day it's the game crashing out at crucial moments or chewing up my High End pc and spitting it out.

How many FP's can you do where a member drops or your game drops? How many more times to I need to relog because the bottom half of every player model has dissapeared? How many times must I relog because the whole world is Pink? How many times must I get stuck in the middle of a field and wait for my player model to "fall" for over an hour to get out? How many more unfinishable quest lines must I endure?

for me it's none. no more.

I can guarantee you that I will re-sub in about 6 months when the game is out of PAID BETA.

My favorite quote from Family guy:

Geez, I and few people i know that play don't have these issues. Seems that you have system issues? Because if it was this broken then wouldn't more people have you error including myself?

Can safely say I've had none of these issues. Thanks for contributing to my future expansion packs though.
 
Pretty sad indeed, I love the game, have no crashes at all and am running a pretty crap system. I love the stories and I definately don't use the space bar through mission text and voice ;-P.
