The screenshots are still looking as good as ever! I cannot stress how waiting for this game to release is a torment to every star wars nut in the world 
The gameplay videos has been good and some bad in-between. We will have to wait and see though if they have managed to combine the MMO rules and lightsaber fights in such a way that you don't feel like a 11yo nerd with a fluorescent light tube in his hands

The game looks good, and the free month looks definitely worth it just for the single player aspect. It is Bioware after all, and imo their games are amazing. Yes I even enjoyed Dragon Age 2. But what worries me endlessly is the end game pvp. I have played DAoC since beta and I am used to that kind of pvp and most other kinds disappoint me.
Suppose I just don't want to "queue up" for pvp every time I want some decent action.

for thos wondering howto preorder through origin, what i did was proxy through my server in europe and bought it off the england Origin site. Worked like a charm.

Admittedly this looks like the wet dream of all wet dreams for Star Wars fans (myself included), but I'm hesitant about pre-ordering until I know how the game will hold up under SA's poor international ping and bandwidth. Unless you have 4mb/s line at home you're probably in trouble if they haven't done something like Guild Wars' heavy instancing (which unfortunately breaks up the rhythm of play quite a bit as a downside).
This, this, this, and one more of this.
Until we are officially supported, I ain't touching it.
One more thing: Steam or nothing for me, thanks.

From all reports, this is a standard MMO. On the ping side, this means the old tired model of: target mob, push button, wait for cooldown, push button again. Now, there is a reason why this is so popular in MMOS: it is lag compliant. You can play an MMO in this way with even 800ms, I know, I have done it.
The only time lag will give you real issues is when you PVP. If you want PVP, play a PVP game like Eve etc, otherwise you are going to moan and bitch at how unfair class x is with ability y for the whole time you play.
As jaded as I sound, I will be playing SWTOR, for sure, even at 500+ ms ping, simply because it is star wars and an MMO, where ping is not a real issue.
