Newsgroups are a lot faster and more stable. And when your isp shapes you it's not so heavy cause it's not a p2p connection

Thats why I use Afrihost gives full bandwidth to torrents

A server which hosts files locally so it comes to you faster

Basically everybody downloads from a central server through a http connection. So none of that p2p seeding and leeching kak. The only thing is most servers only have a 30 retention period

Dont think I have ever been shaped by Afrihost since I am not on their uncapped on capped .

Thanks guys. Took me so long to figure torrents out. How would one go about finding a newsgroup lol? Is that not only at like universities etc?
