TGS: How Good Does Metal Gear Solid HD Look?

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is all over the Tokyo Game Show, and to add to the presence, Konami has released some comparison screenshots. The collection -- in English speaking territories -- takes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and puts them in glorious HD.

Mgs 2 still looks very good for its age, but peacewalker should have gotten new character and vehicle models imo cause all they did was slap hi res textures on low res models and it shows.

Peacewalker looks a bit shit, but I love how sharp MGS2 is. Maybe this will be worth buying. I still have the PS2 versions of MGS2 and MGS3.

I am so amped for the HD Collection. It all looks very good, I reckon. I missed out on these games, since my PS2 got stolen after a week of having it (back in the day). Oh well, better late than never.

That PSP shot of MGSPW is distorted. I've played it and it looks more like the second shot- just with a bit rough edges. Still an awesome game despite the graphics. MGS2 was fun but I didn't like Raiden's soppy character so much. Felt like Kojima was watching the Nic Cage movie, The Rock when he made the game

Even after many playthroughs of all the games on the series, I eventually will give in and get the HD collection. My wife will sigh.

MGS2 looks good. It's actually quite amazing how well the game has stood the test of good development right off the bat.
The models may have been ugly, but they were GOOD MODELS.

As someone already noted though, Peacewalker looks like crap. Crap models remain crap even if you repaint them.
