The biggest YouTube gaming channels

I can't stand PewdieDIE. I tried watching some of his video years ago and got irritated really fast.

I generally don't just dislike channels; if I find something about the channel not to my liking, I simply discontinue watching that channel.

I can understand why many people dislike PewDiePie.
His humour and comedy is often OTT, and some may not be a fan of the profanity-spewing nature of the guy... Since my type of humour is more or less OTT as well, I can relate.

A comment was made about Markiplier as well.

I suppose I can understand why. He's an entertainer while playing his walkthroughs, so some may not like him either as he can get loud. When I first started watching him, I was on the fence about his content - to a point where I actually almost stopped watching the first LP of him I saw, but I figured, maybe I'll get used to it, and sure enough - I did. He's now one of my favourite Let's Play(ers) on YT.

I think alot of the big youtube channles audience consist mostly of young teens and so the content is aimed at that demographic.
Thats could be why we all hate PewDie...

DING DING DING!! Winner winner chicken dinner. This right here is exactly the reason why these channels are so big. Their main audience is much younger than we are, which is exactly why these channels annoys us. Luckily, Youtube is big enough to cater for many different types of people and many types of entertainment.

This leads me to think about the following: the youth of today are the ones that are already going to the likes of Youtube and Netflix and whatnot for all their entertainment needs. Yes, there are some of us old ballies that do it as well, but within the youth demographic, reliance on online streaming entertainment has a much higher penetration rate. This leads me to think that when these youngsters grow up and get jobs and money of their own, they will still be in the online streaming crowd. They will teach their kids those mannerisms as well, and all of a sudden you have a wave of people abandoning traditional media content delivery for online streaming. Death of traditional cable/satellite entertainment is inevitable.
