The Crew

Just got an offer to swop my Driveclub for this game and I am seriously considering it. Driveclub is a great game and everything but I think I will enjoy The Crew more. Gonna think about it tonight and read some opinions about The Crew before I make a decision tomorrow.

I can't wait until you guys provide (hopefully) decent feedback on the game so I can make a final decision as to my purchase (maybe later this month).
 
I just have to convince my brother as I bought Driveclub for him (even though he is not really playing it atm) but so far I wanna go for the swop. The guy bought the game this morning but he does not want an online only game, he just wants an arcade style racing game for PS4 and when he wanted to buy Driveclub on the spot I mentioned I had it and he asked me to trade him. If I do go through with it I will definitely post some feedback here.

If I do buy this game, I want to know what I'm getting myself into.

My mind is about 80% made up (regarding buying this game). It looks fun.
 
I hear alot of good so far, but I maintain, the amount of cars and lack of tuner types is still making me hold back.
Atleast there is a Focus RS, Golf GTI and 370z to hold me down and some sort of normal and tuner types. Will probably stick to a 370z for Drift purposes.
But yeah lets see how things pan out over the next few days. Beotek, keep em coming :D

So I swopped my Driveclub for this today, but I don't know when I will get to play it properly as my Telkom line is currently down. I do have a backup connection but it is slow as hell so I don't know if it will work with that connection.

@BeoTek. How big is the PS4 update?

Update I think was just over 200mb.

I don't think the speed of your connection plays a big role, as long as you have connectivity. That's the beauty of the game. They way they do the connections is amazing. You may just find that other players will lag on your screen. But sometimes you don't see many. And other times you'll have eight others.

Awesome thanks bro. Should be able to play it then, depending on if the PS4 connects with the crap connection I have to use now.
 
For the guys playing with Data caps or 3G/Lte just be warned.
The game uses an obscene amount of data. Roughly 1GB for 4 hours play.

Not the game for capped accounts then.
 
Played for a very short while but so far I am impressed. Definitely more my kind of racing game than Driveclub. The map is massive and there seems to be a lot to do. Customization also looks pretty decent and I am happy with the handling of the cars so far.

I'm watching many playthroughs, and so far I really like what I'm seeing. People are mostly taking well to this game as far as I can tell.
That data amount TJ spoke of is my only worrying factor at this point. I'm on an uncapped line - but still.
 
Among playing for a few hours and a few YouTube videos at 720p I did around 2.4gb of data last yesterday.
I would say about a quarter of that can be contributed to The Crew.

You should only measure the actual game data not youtube vids as well lol

Anyway I asked a mate of mine to check the exact amount of data he used last night and it was 878MB for a 4 hour session on PC.
