The cryptocurrency miners who earn over R100,000 per day

Wow they earn so much money from mining...

Wait an minute...

R156841/1945 = R80.64 per day per worker

So if you paid something like R30k for a mining rig, you will only start seeing ROI after 372 days, not counting in the enormous power bill, and the fact that value of mining might fluctuate...

Hmmmm... bad investment is bad.

Is that before or after operating costs?

Quick maths:

Account: 0xb9e33a4a1dba378925b7f20d21b5ab2d78ad58f0 has 236,147 Mh/s of hashing power. The average RX 480 could do around 25 Mh/s. That's almost 10 000 RX 480's.

Going by their average hash rater per a worker (120 Mh/s) it seems to be that each worker consist of four GPU's.

My guess, those stats are from Chinese mining farms, cheap labor and cheaper electronics and basically free electricity.

Hmmmm... bad investment is bad.

Yeah the ROI was obliterated during the craze earlier in the year.

*However*, once the rig is paid off, and provided you haven't killed the hardware in the time it took to make back the investment, the profits are pretty good.

Another thing to consider is that many miners are also crypto bulls - they're predicting the price will go up, which may change the ROI equation quite a bit.
