Problems I've experienced so far (on the XBOX 360 version):

1. Texture pop-ins.
2. Some regular frame-drops here and there. They're not terrible, but enough to make you notice.

From what I've seen, I think this is the game that will end the current gen consoles. I actually think that what they're trying get out of the consoles with this title is already asking a little but too much, and it shows. I personally cannot wait for the next-gen versions to come out!!

Yes, I completely agree with you. The main point being is that despite the said references it does not detract from the game. It is still GTA and amazing fun. The graphics are better than I expected and the storyline (thus far) is awesome. Having a terribly awesome time with it, becoming sleep deprived.

I think it was mostly due to debates in the past.

The rep button is rarely used these days other then in the gif/pictures thread and a few odd threads here and there.

Still i can't figure out how some members have so many positive rep points when the majority of the time people are disagreeing with them.

I also can't figure out how the ranking system works for rep points.

Simple answer: Forum politics. I don't really care about the title at all. My aim is to contribute to the forum in a positive and constructive way. I'm not saying I didn't earn some of my negative karma here, but I also understand that you cannot please all the people all of the time. I think the main thing that I've learned here over the years is to ignore the people who, in my opinion, are trolls themselves. Any way, let's get back on topic :)
 
Oooeee another debate, but this time I'm on Neo's side. I had similar frame rate issues last night with the game, and at one point got a bit worse than I would suspect. But I do think that it may be my Xbox that's to blame here, as it got really hot last night. I think it may be overheating more that regularly. granted it is still one of the very first Xbox 360 models that I've had for almost 7 years now. Are any of you still gaming on an Xbox like that, and did you experience the same high temps?

I don't really have any issues eh, bought mine about a year ago now. Like they say "don't install disc2 and live with the disc sping noise" ... but honestly I don't hear any noise like that either. Also, now that it's coming into summer and becoming more humid I could expect it to get a bit warmer, never really paid much attention to it to be honest. It sits on the top of my TV cabinet and not obstructed by means.
I did notice some gliching and/or framerate drops, but again, this was after about 4 or 5 hours of gameplay. So it is kinda expected judging how far they are already pushing the limitation of the XBox IMO.

I have an arcade(probably 3 1/2 years old, the white one) but I bought a slim edition(250gb black one about 2 years ago, and I mainly game on that now, so I'm good to go for hopefully another year before X1 is in SA

All I could do almost the whole of last night was watch GTA 5 gameplay. Made me so sad. I hope the PC version doesn't take 2 years to come out. I'm just really angry at Cockstar atm. I can't believe they're so asshole towards people that play games on PC. That's just really, really swak of them.

I have bought MANY Rockstar games in the past, but I'm thinking of not supporting them any longer. I've always loved Rockstar games, but this is just really unjust of them.

After 4 GTA's that only came to PC 6+ months later this is still a surprise to people?
 
After watch my brother play it last night, I can't wait to experience it myself. It's damn awesome, and graphically, it looks really good.
So taken aback by everything an the attention to detail. Sounds are also very good - be it you're inside a vehicle or climbing out while speaking - it has a difference between the 2.

I don't work there so I can't say what factors influence it, but it's not like this some sudden slight by Rockstar to the PC community - it's been par for the course for 10 years.
 
I LOVE this game!!!!!! :D

Haven't been so lost in a game world in ages, must have spent about 2 hours last night just riding BMX on the beach and jet-skiing close to the coast. Haven't really played many missions, but what I've done so far is extremely impressive, love how the game seamlessly switches between the main characters. Gonna start playing in a few minutes and I don't plan to stop before the sun rises tomorrow morning; will see how I feel later.
