I actually think I have seen videos of The Verge with the GT logo on them. People upload the GT video to Youtube, and I think that's where the Verge gets them and that's why they are such poor quality.

We did it for a while but have stopped as the quality was so poo, even in a tiny box, never mind a TV

its obviously obvious that the people who make and edit the verge dont know how to download HQ videos from youtube ;)
 
The Verge is a bad show.
If I channel hop straight past it without it grabbing my interest, it cannot be good. :)

Videos look iffy too.
 
The verge is getting really bad now. People only watch it Becouse they think the presenter(think her name is pippa)is hot I dont think she is all that nice looking. And she cant even show a live demo of a game properly.
 
Maybe they should hire some of us from here to go and present their shows lol... :p

It's true. She turned up on the NAG forum after a bunch of guys were slagging off the way she looks. And fair play to her, it was really uncalled for.
 
To bad so sad..the show is pathetic!!
Every time the show starts i find myself changing to the home channel..its more interesting and up to date:p

Cybernet still owned back in the day...That show should come back!!

Whats she going to do? Rock up here and defend the failings of the k@K show she hosts? Cybernet was a decent gaming show back in the day and it only had a sexy female voice.
I avoid gaming shows as their normally K@K. The presenter rarely have an proper understanding of the game or its mechanics and context. Reminicent of Ktv and the stupid questions they ask when someone talks about a game.

TV + Idiot Presenter + Games = Fail.
 
It really is a pity that the show is being slagged of so badly. It would be pretty awesome to get a MyGaming mention on-air.

I think they do a decent enough job for a locally produced show though. Sure, they may not cater to the more hardcore gamers among us, but for the masses I reckon they're not doing badly at all.

Well maybe they just need a proper show and then we will have them mention MyGaming. Get a presenter that actually knows something about the industry, get Azimuth to host it!:p Ive only seen advert and even that put me off actually watching it.
 
As far as I understand The Verge presenter knows quite a bit about gaming, and actually lectures digital animation in gaming at Wits...or something.

I have not watched the show in a while as I canceled my DSTV subscription. I didnt get much value out of it as the news was never as current as online, and they reviewed stuff like Wheelman, which leads me to believe that they are going for the mainstream, which is totally cool but explains why gamers are all moaning.

The truth is that they are part of a very big food chain, and I don't think that they have that much freedom in deciding what they cover. There is so much going on behind the scenes that affects the content on a TV show because it is considered 'big media'.

TBH, the show really is not aimed at you guys. It targets a massive audience that is not online or informed. My 13 year old brother watches it. It needs to target that audience to be viable.

Have they sorted out their video quality?
