I tend to watch the Verge, but they tend to focus on games I don't really care for. Not into violence/kill all/point a gun 'n shoot games, nor really racing games for that matter. I like the weird stuff on offworld.com. Meh. Anyways, instead of using up my bandwidth to watch trailers I can check some of them on TV instead.
Go Verge, Go Verge...A wider variety of games would be nice. Instead of the heavy-handed stuff (and what's with all the coverage on Section 8? It looks sucky) and Need For Speed stuff, some stranger things, like, as I say, from Offworld, would probably open up their target audience a bit. Getting tired of seeing some developer talk about how his game features new combat modes, when all it is fundamentally is pointing a gun at a virtual player and shooting. (Chunder)
On the plus side Pippa's announcing's got a lot better (perhaps a little TOO fast?) and the Indian guy's kinda goofy and funny. Not all bad.
Cybergames...was that the name of the show? There used to be a TV show years ago that I used to ask people to tape for me ha ha. That was great.
I'm not too fussy about the video quality. As long as I can see generally what's cracking. Maybe my eyes are just getting swak.
