The Verge

There is only one thing about the Verge that annoys me, and that is the "interactive" part of it...in other words the SMS's etc. showing up on-screen.

It was a fad on Go and it still seems to be a fad on Vuzu unfortunately. It's quite distracting and I feel it cheapens a show actually. Instead of focussing on the actual content being presented, I find myself being distracted by all the scrolling text all over the place. It annoys me so much I actually refuse to watch a show with it :D

Otherwise it's all good :)

I haven't watched Verge yet. (Prolly coz I don't watch tv, but ok)

What's the general feel of the show, you guys enjoy it for it's content/presentation or because it's local?

What do you think of the show, Miss Unexpected?

Miss unexepected is the presenter I think thats why people watch it bec she is good looking

My suggestion would be less cinematic trailers and more content where the gameplay is showcased.

The rage 2009 insert was great to watch, there definitely needs to be more of that seeing as the online/multiplayer community in SA is booming.

Oh yes, is it only me or is The Verge really 'dark' in comparison to other programs? Like someone has turned down the brightness :p

Who has been watching the repeats over the holiday? It really looks good with all that HUB removed.

I was a lil pissed that they showed the mission of COD mw2 that the game gives you a choice to ether play it or skip it and here they are showing it like its nothing.

I just lolled when I saw that. The player almost got killed via friendly fire.

The "holiday" episodes were better than the usual episodes, no sms lines, no annoying HUD, was pure bliss and you were able to see much more of the game in terms of gameplay/multiplayer etc. Maybe they can take one day of the week and do a show exactly as they have done over the holidays.

and the quality of the gameplay videos was outstanding. Don't like the hud much either, could actually see Pippa's legs.

Yeah the quality was great, most probably coz they recorded it themselves. The footage that they get from the publishers is terribly compressed and not really suitable for TV.

could actually see Pippa's legs

Thats mainly due to the fact that she normally stands when delivering her lines:)

Pippa has a passion for gaming which is nice to see and the show is generally awesome but sometimes it feels like indoctrination/over hype of games *cough* assassins creed 2 *cough* Dont get me wrong its a great game but damn some variation would be nice in a show :P

Loved the holiday shows too!

showing real ingame footage and having guys from the SA gaming community on.

Sure they can get HD vidz from the internet instead of the SD ones that they show us - even if they broadcast The Verge in SD - will make those video's much better!

As a show... O...K...
Pippa is a decent presenter, but that other dude! Ugh! wow that guy can really try to force an accent. Jeez dude just be yourself. Also the show seems to be majorly PS3. And they cant seem to stop showing more of the same bunch of games.

Pippa rox! I love watching the Saturday rebroadcasts. The scrolling #$% on the screen takes up too much space though.
