Ubisoft reckons new consoles are overdue

I'm wondering if the next gen console pricing might create a new crowd of console players, because as Graal pointed out, parents might have an issue buying next gen if the price gap between current and next gen is too wide. Those who wouldn't adopt consoles because of the "performance" difference between PC's and consoles, may be enticed to take the leap...

That brings another point to look at... The Wii U, it might not be better than the next Microsoft and Sony outings, but it is supposedly much better than their current tech... Game listings for the Wii U will decide its fate (I think)

Current gen consoles are way past their use by date.

I can think of quite a few games that lag even at mediocre 30 fps with low to medium detail.
So yes current gen consoles are due for an upgrade, but don't expect to see it anytime soon.
