There's a Total Garage on North Rand road in Boksburg that sells all three (Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke and Dr Pepper). R15 a pop tho......

I think the reason for the scarcity is that vanilla coke is not being manufactured in South Africa anymore. The places that do sell it are actually importing it from somewhere themselves, that's also why it costs so much.

Economies of scale. Sometimes it's just cheaper to import from an existing factory than set up your own production line

oh ok thanks for the answer explains why Schweppes Granadilla also changed then except that it tasted nice not like vanilla coke .

Vanilla Coke was a bit like Fresca. Tastes like nothing.

Vanilla coke is nice but you can't taste the vanilla after a couple of sips any more (well for me anyway).
