Video games' worst unlocks

At least the jump ability didn't come in the form of DLC :p

Agree with the list with the exception of concept art.
Especially the roughly sketched ones.
Those can be photoshoped/gimped to help make your own fanart :)
 
Final Fantasy did it really well with the "ultimate weapon" Lionheart, you could actually get it really early in the game, if you knew what you needed and where to get it, but once you got it it was Amazeballs...

I don't understand concept art/fan art...it seems a bit pointless. And it always seems to up making full use of Rule 34 in the end.

Mortal Kombat 9 has tons of unlocks via the coins you gain during the game. Most (if not all) of the unlocks are utter, smelly poo. Stick-men drawings of fatalities? Badly-drawn concept art? Stage-music that's barely a minute long? No thanks. The game is incredibly fun though.

Totally agree with this, I love concept art. I Always check it out, most recently tomb raider had some very cool concept art
 
They prey upon people's OCD. Even with absolutely no reward, people will still go on collecting all the collectables, exploring all the areas etc.

Just to have done it. And to be able to say that you've done it.
