Hey guys,

I've been doing research for a few days now on the best ISP for gaming and through internet research, and a little word-of-mouth, I have brought it down to these two. Now I'm turning to you guys to help me make my final decision... Hopefully somebody out there has had experience with Vox and their Wildfire gaming service. MWEB seems to be the tried and trusted ISP for gamers, so there's that that Vox has to compete with...

My only issue with MWEB is that their site mentions that gaming is given the highest priority on their network, which basically means that the service is still shaped, gaming is just highest on the list. The problem there is that when something is given higher priority, something else has it's priority lowered. Anyone have details on the priority listings for MWEB ADSL?

Vox on the other hand says that their ADSL service is completely unshaped, nothing has higher priority over anything else.

I am interested to see some honest opinions, and hopefully a little experience... :)

Please leave an answer in the poll, and if you select other, name it and give me a reason in your post.

Thanks for the opinions!

Vox doesn't block torrents, we have Vox at my workplace and I torrent there all the time. Don't have access details to try it for gaming at home though... Dx

I'm currently on a VOX 40gb fat pipe account.

Gaming latency is good, 15 - 30ms local latency.
No protocols are blocked, torrents/downloads gets full line speed.

Mweb, similar latency when I used them back in the day (2010)
For downloads, dont bother...they throttle and shape.

Getting 200Kb/s on my 2Mb line on Mweb with torrents. As long as you don't hammer the line 24/7 you get great speeds.
