Wasteland 2 comes with free copy of Wasteland 1

Certainly this is joy in the Wasteland. I signed up for the Kickstarter but had no idea I'd qualify for the original title. This makes me very pleased. Finally I have made up for unwittingly pirating Wasteland as a kid.
 
Being a little more pragmatic here I really doubt too many people will actually play Wasteland 1. I think most people will load it up check this really old game and then close that and load up their brand new Wasteland 2 game instead. Maybe I am wrong.
 
I actually spun up the original Wasteland (from an abandonware site) about five months ago to show off to a friend. He is in his early 20's and didn't really think much of it whereas I was fighting back tears of nostalgia. I'd probably still play it again but that's because I remember it being an awesome title and don't need to be wooed by fancy graphics and AAA Hollywood-styled cinematics. Oh the modern generation has so missed out :(
 
Except you're not playing the game in front of you, you're playing the game in your memories hence why your friend couldn't get into it the same way. The 'kids these days' sentiment can easily be countered with 'old people'. :)

Nothing wrong with liking old games but there are plenty of better new games just people don't tend to attach themselves to them because they are seeing these games through the eyes of an adult and in relation to every other high quality release at the time.
