Watch Dogs won't look as good as promised

I agree the publishers/developers are throwing marketing talk at the masses to sell more titles, but if everyone just keeps buying their products over and over what is to stop them from doing it again?

While I prefer a better storyline and deeper characters, if the graphics are amazing to go along with the afore mentioned, then all the better. Some games don't require outstanding graphics to be awesome, but this title was being flaunted to have "the bestestest" graphics ever, so them back tracking on that front does make me raise an eyebrow. I will probably still end up getting this after taking in some reviews and they are positive. If not, I've got enough keeping me busy in my backlog until Arkham Knight arrives :D

and to me it seems like Assassins Creed with a Cellphone.
.

So you run up buildings parkour style? I must have missed some of the gameplay videos, because it really didn't look anything like assassins creed other than its open world. Maybe more like GTA with hacking?

Well i'm still looking forward to this i ordered mine a year ago already so i won't back down now the gfx still look good it's not like they went and dropped it down to 16 bit gfx. i think we should give it a leap of faith and see what we get i know it's money spent and it might be disappointing but it might also be a gem and surprise us but in all honesty maybe it's because i wear glasses i don't know but sometimes in some instances it's hard to tell the diffs between 720 and 1080. So i will judge for myself when it comes out and The Division too later this year

Haha! Would be cool if they created a mod like that later for the PC version. From the videos, Watch Dogs reminds me of Sleeping Dogs stylish open world with hacking, and sleeping dogs, I enjoyed to bits! :)

Hmmm... Just looking at the names of the 2 games, they both have 'dogs' in them, Coincidence??

Hey I still want to play this it does not matter if the internet has turned on it.I just hope for a much better animation system AC 4 is awesome but could have been better if it's animation system was not so janky.Ubi for the love of God stop with the coats and hoods please.

I get the whole gameplay over graphics argument but this is the "Next Gen" consoles, PC gamers have been running 1080p graphics for years now. Games are only going to get even more graphically intensive so if these consoles cannot even push 1080p at the get go, then what can we expect in 3 or 4 years time? Xbox 360 and PS3 really pushed the bar when they were released, I feel the new consoles should do the same! (rant over)

Exactly. I really hope SteamOS/SteamMachine kicks off and blows these other substandard piece of shit consoles out the water. #GabeNewellForPresident #PCMasterRace

Because of TVs been limited to 60 fps, console games are made for TVs, but us on computers can better 60fps but get restricted due to consoles.

Why not make a game with better fps for Pcs?

They have... lots of PC games are able to run at higher than 60fps. Watch Dogs will look and run much better on PC as well and they confirmed it'd be capable of 4K resolutions.

Seriously, please make constructive posts and not dribble like this. Hash tags and "substandard piece of shit consoles", are not words that are to be taken seriously by most of the the people here. I appreciate you have an opinion but honestly your wording, sentence structure and context need a bit of work.

Sorry but frame rates are not affected by refresh rates in any way: http://www.tweakguides.com/Graphics_1.html

What is shown on your screen via a GPU and how your screen updates it's self are two different things.

Holding back on graphical fidelity isn't bad, as long as the game doesn't fail miserably, then, having held back seems like a poor decision.

Introducing something quite outstanding to your audience and probable target market, then delivering something of a lesser scale - disappointment is due, as your viewer was taken aback by the introduction of your product, but will have to settle for less - IMHO.
