What games do you play in "couch tournaments" with friends?

Generally the fighting genre games;
Mortal Kombat
Dead or Alive 5
Injustice

Alternatively, one person will set a hot lap and the other people(s) try beat it;
Gran Turismo 5
F1 2013

Otherwise on a casual front, things like;
Journey
Little Big Planet

Of course I am only naming games I have/own!
 
My friend only has a collection of Grand tourismo, with 6 being the latest on PS3. We jam that when I bum at his place.
The rest of his collection are not Local MP.

I don't have a console :(
 
We usually play Wwe 2k14 with 6 controllers on the ps3. Followed by some Fifa, NHL 3vs3 and Sports champion 2 with the Moves

MK
WWE with 4+ controllers is hilarious
Occasionally some 4 player split screen COD for lols

Generally FIFA though, had many all-nighter full on tournaments with group+K.O. stages etc.
 
EA Golf (I am anxiously awaiting the new one for PS4, that and NHL 2015).

Get everyone to make their own golfer from scratch. Some people try and make it look like themselves. Others go for the most ridiculous features. Man we laugh sometimes...

Grab yourself a brandy, and kick back for the afternoon.
 
Fighters are always our go to games:

BlazBlue (Best fighter ever)

We would also jam some Fifa and some 1v1 CoD.

Fighters make the best couch tourny games though :D
 
Any sports, fighting and racing games usually have good local multiplayer.
Splinter Cell conviction has an awesome split screen multiplayer campaign. There also a good lot of 2D beat em up co op games like
castle crashers on XBL, pretty sure Psn and steam too.

I honestly hope developers never stop implementing local MP.
