Windows 10's prices are unveiled

I've also read you can download an ISO for the upgrade itself, so you don't have to do the 'restore dvd'... You do, however, have to do a full upgrade from windows 7/8 to 10, at which point Microsoft will take record of your PC, and then you can do a clean install from the ISO.

Well I'll see tonight. The download was going very slow so I didn't wait up for it. I just set a timer for my PC to shutdown after the download is complete; I really hope I don't have to redownload again.

Otherwise I'll do all this over the weekend. Thanks guys
 
Feedback time: The download did finish last night, so I started up the "Install Windows" app thingy, and it gave me 3 options. Install now, Install by creating media or Install later from your desktop.

So yeah, Install by creating media is what I wanted. Selecting that it gives you the option to either make an ISO file for a DVD or create a USB Flash install drive. So I am going to go for the flash stick one, because that will be so much faster than DVD.
