My soul needs this.

Have you ever wanted something so bad, that the anticipation for it literally disrupts your whole life. Well, I have. Ever since I first stumbled a upon the first trailer for Resident Evil 6. I have been keeping tabs on this game. And now that we so close to launch my obsession has gone viral, "pun intended". I have been checking all game sites known to man for any bit of exclusive info for RE6 or anything Resident evil related for that matter.

Come to think of it, I have been playing resident evil for 13 years now. And I haven't Stopped ever since. My first encounter with the RE universe, was RE2 which is my second favorite RE game. First being RE4, but we won't get in to that. I can almost remember the kind of terror that engulfed me the first time I witnessed Claire being ravaged by a zombie. Prior to this, I had never played a game that made want to throw the controller away. The site of blood gushing from her neck, the moaning of the zombie as it chomped at her flesh. All these elements literally made me throw the controller in utter terror. This was scary, it was new and actually illegal. Illegal you ask, well i was only 11. And this being 15 rated game, I'm pretty sure an 11 year old playing a 15 rated game was illegal in some countries. Anyway, my point is, regardless of the fact that this game had elements that would make your average 1999 11 year old run in fear while calling for his/her mommy, I liked It. Ever since that moment, I was hooked. And I have played almost all resident evil games ever since. The exception being, the spinoff titles. Reason being, access. I just never seemed have enough cash to get them, even though i wanted them.

Alas, as much as would like to carry on, I must conclude. I am a Gamer, Gaming is what I do. And this is an event that lets us Gamers celebrate one of treasures. So please Please let me attend this event in celebration of one of the most beloved titles to ever come out of japan. Did I mention I am getting Resident Evil 6 on Xbox :).

My reply is a lot less comprehensive than the above and I apologize. :)

I remember as far back as grade one I sat in my room playing Resident Evil on my Ps1. The copy was my dad's (obviously) and I would beg him to let me play, so one day he decided I could play, under one condition. I had to turn the lights off and the volume up on full, needless to say I was scared out of my mind as soon as a swarm of zombies climbed a chain-link fence in the distance. My dad laughed at me and taught me lesson he wanted to...zombies are bad mkaaaay.

I haven't played RE for quite some time as varsity is taking over for now, but my girlfriend is an avid fan and she is a fan of the movies and the games. She insists on hiring the games when we walk past a video shop and even tried to get me to pre-order it on ps3 for her, despite me only having an xbox. RE6 will be a good break from the monotony of FPS titles and noobs running around the servers, oh and killing zombies is AWESOME! I am also in JHB for the week to visit my GF, so winning this would be quite cool to say the least- nothing better than a date night consisting of zombies and gaming.

Christmas comes early this year!!

With rAge 2012, the launch of the wii U and Resident Evil 6 around the corner I thought my year was complete, but then an awesome oppertunity of attending the launch of one of 2012's biggest games appear on SA's best gaming site and it feels as if Christmas has come early this year.

My long history with the Resident Evil franchise started with RE 1 on ps1 when I was in high school. And couldn't wait when 2 and 3 was released there after.

My heart broke in 2 when I heard that RE 4 would initially be a Gamecube exclusive, and i ended up probably being the only person in SA to buy a Gamecube just to play Resident Evil 4.

RE 4 then received a PS2 launch eventually and I ended up buying that version as well.

Now in the age of digital downloads I still play my Hd collection of RE4 and RE Code Veronica, and best of all, playing RE1,2 and 3 ps1 classics on my Vita.

I truly cannot wait for RE6 to be released as i just absolutely love this series, so please please My Gaming, please grant me the opportunity to attend the event.

Regards
The biggest RE fan ever :D

Well to be honest the Last Resident Evil that I played was Code Veronica on PS2, after that game I lost all interest in all Resident Evil games. After I saw this game my eyes just lit up and almost started to cry it looked so brilliant.

I would really love to get back into the Resi series by starting with this game now, My first experience with Resident Evil was Resident Evil Directors Cut. I bought the game for PS1 and never had a Memory card. I played the game for 9 hours straight from start to finish and completed the game without a memory card. That must have been my best Resident Evil experience ever. I know this might not be the best article but I thought I might share it with you all

thanks

The new look of the game is incredible. When i had a chance to play it teh first time and saw that the game is practically 3 games in 1 it blew my mind.

You get to paly with 2 of your heros and 1 newbie fighting a war across several continents, I cant wait to give this game a bash :D I have already got a ticket for this event and I will see you guys there. Im entering hoping 1 remains so that i can take my mate so that he can experiences it. He is resident evil ballistic. he has a few posters in his room including all the games from PS 1. The most remarkable 1 is a ps 1 controller that he ripped the cable out . HE was playing RE and when nemises jumped him bekaked himself and yanked the controller.
