WWE Ultimate Warrior Passes Away

AlienTaker

Whale Masseur
Yeah i might get flamed a lot now but to me this is sad news as he was one of my childhood favorites and an Icon and he got inducted into the hall of fame this past weekend and after Monday he passed away but he was an awesome person and a motivational speaker.

R.I.P Warrior

And now the WWE fucked up another Legend in the undertaker by letting a moron like Brock Useless kill his streak

I liked the older wrestlers much more than the current lot. Sad to hear about him.

On another note, I stopped watching wrestling a long time ago, the whole soapy-talk-your-mouth-off thing irritates the crap out of me. I know wrestling is more about show than actual fights, but still, they talk so much...

I was very sad to hear about this as well. I remember him well and, according to me, was one of the super stars of WWF (not the lame WWE). I also stopped watching wrestling back in 1996 already, but this guy was one of the most iconic wrestlers ever. Sad day indeed.

@Mister 44 - it may well have been related to some form of supplement. These guys push their bodies very, very hard. The oke was 54 when he died and he apparently took part in a match recently? That's insane by any account. We'll never know what stuff he took to get back into "shape". But obviously his body couldn't cope any more. Still, it's a tragedy.

Yes he took the match a night before I think it was.

I don't know if the official cause of death was released but I'm pretty sure it was either a massive heart attack or an aneurysm.

Both of those could point to steroids. The reason I bring it up was because I read this on Wikipedia:

In November 1992, Warrior was scheduled to be the tag team partner of Savage, to be known as the Ultimate Maniacs to face Ric Flair and Razor Ramon at Survivor Series. Weeks before the event, Warrior was released for disputed reasons. In his book Sex, Lies and Headlocks, ESPN writer Shaun Assael stated that Canadian chemist Mauro Di Pasquale nailed Warrior for steroid use in September and was able to successfully persuade McMahon, who was under federal scrutiny at the time for allegations of illegally supplying steroids to some of his wrestlers, to release Warrior from the company.

Regardless of the cause, it is a sad loss. I was never a huge fan of wrestling, but even I knew who he was.

Warrior never used roids he was one of the ones that actually pushed for the WWE wellness program back in the day and yes i knew legally changed his name to Warrior. and he didn't have a match the night before he actually said no mor match the night of the HoF induction after the crowd chanted one more match

But it's a sad loss he was an awesome human being
